Matthew Herzog Attorney

Matt was born and raised in Dallas. A two-sport athlete in high school, he graduated from J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas. Following high school he attended Brigham Young University, where he graduated with Bachelor’s Degrees in Political Science and Russian Language. After undergrad, Matt attended SMU’s Dedman School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2010. At graduation, Matt was inducted into the National Order of Barristers, an award for excellence in courtroom skills given to only 10 students each year.

Since becoming a lawyer, Matt has focused his practice exclusively on personal injury law. For a time, he defended hospitals against medical malpractice claims all over the state. But after witnessing the injustices done to injured parties by insurance companies, Matt switched sides and dedicated himself to representing injured Texans. Using insights from his time as a defense lawyer, Matt builds and presents every case in a way that maximizes his clients’ compensation for their injuries. 

In his free time, Matt enjoys traveling. He is also a published photographer.
