A new Element by Westin Hotel costing about $22 million dollars will be constructed in Dallas Richardson according to a Business Journal article from November 10 which reports,
“Midas Hospitality and its affiliate Midas Capital have partnered with a developer to open a new hotel north of Dallas.
Midas Hospitality will manage the $22 million Element by Westin hotel, located at 2205 N. Glenville Drive in Richardson, Texas.
The hotel is part of a 5.2-acre, mixed-use development and joint venture with 3D Development, an Augusta, Georgia-based real estate developer that also has offices in Texas and Tennessee. Midas, 3D and other limited partners have investments in the project, Midas officials said. Midas announced the project in December.”
The hotel to be developed will be revolving around a modernist design and will be heavily influenced by sustainability according to a HospitalityNet article from November 12 which reports,
“Midas Hospitality will manage the four-story hotel, which has 123 spacious suites that include fully equipped kitchens and spa-inspired bathrooms. MW Builders, which has offices in Kansas and Texas, was the general contractor for the hotel. Gray Design Group was the architect, and Commerce Bank is providing the financing.
The Element concept encourages renewal through a nature-influenced environment and is constructed with an efficient use of space and sustainability in mind. Highlights include a Motion Fitness Center, an all-natural saline pool, and a Bikes to Borrow program for its guests.”
This soon to be developed hotel will be the second brand of hotel to be handled by Midas Hospitality.
