Meow Wolf’s fourth permanent exhibit is coming to Grapevine, Texas with 30 rooms and 40 artists, including Dallas College alumni, according to a Brookhaven Courier article. It reports,
“Meow Wolf is coming to Texas with its fourth permanent location. Meow Wolf is a place known for vibrant colors and shapes, making exploration exciting while visitors enter a new reality.
The exhibit will partner with more than 40 artists and 50% of these artists are Texans. Dallas College alumni will be featured among the artists collaborating with Meow Wolf, including former Eastfield student Kwinton Gray, former Brookhaven student Wanz Dover, former Richland humanities instructor Sara Cardona and former El Centro instructors Carlos DonJuan and Adam Palmer.”
Meow Wolf Grapevine is hiring for 80 positions and offering wages above Texas’ minimum wage to support livable wages in the arts industry, addressing pay equity disparities. Fair pay aligns with the company’s mission, according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,
“The Santa Fe, N.M.-staple is now hiring for 80 hourly workers and paying above Texas’ minimum wage in an effort to provide livable wages in the arts, an industry that has struggled with earning disparities and pay equity. Kelly Schwartz, general manager for Meow Wolf Grapevine, said fair pay is an important part of the company’s mission.
“By compensating employees fairly, Meow Wolf can promote a culture of respect and dignity for all workers. Overall, Meow Wolf’s dedication to paying a livable wage supports the well-being and success of its employees while contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive arts community,” Schwartz said.”
Meow Wolf, known for their immersive art spaces, is set to open a new location in Grapevine, Texas, with works from local artists featured. This will be their fourth location.
