You may now book your own vaccination schedule in Dallas County’s Fair Park vaccine location according to a Dallas Morning News article from April 14th. In it they say:
“The days of waiting for a COVID-19 vaccine in Dallas County appear to be over.
The county health department’s waitlist has been closed, and North Texans can now book a same-day or next-day appointment for protection from the coronavirus at Dallas County’s Fair Park vaccine site, officials said Wednesday.
Appointments for first doses only can be made at the county’s website or by calling the county’s vaccine hotline — 1-855-466-8639. Additionally, Texans 55 or older are eligible to present themselves at the Fair Grounds without an appointment.”
It also got easier for the 55+ crowd to get vaccinated according to a CBS 11 article from April 14th. In it they say:
“Additionally, residents who are 55 and older may receive a COVID-19 vaccination at Fair Park without an appointment or pre-registering on the website by going to Gate 10 or Gate 2 with a photo ID during operating hours.”
There are plenty of doses available and getting said doses just got a whole lot easier, so nothing should be stopping you from getting your shots.
