Young Texan Set to Break Record with Global Adventures

Max, a toddler from Frisco, will become the youngest American to visit all seven continents with his mother, despite criticism according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,

“Max is set to become the youngest known American to visit all seven continents when he cruises into the ice-covered, southernmost continent March 1.

The Frisco toddler has traveled the world with his mother, Lesley Carter, who founded the travel blog Bucket List Publications more than a decade ago.

Carter, 42, said she is used to the confused questions from friends and strangers. How does she manage the overnight flight, the cranky toddler, the exhaustion? But mostly, why travel with her son when he won’t even remember it?

“Well, then why hug your child, why take them to the park or read them a book at this age?” she usually replies. “They learn so much right now.””

Lesley Carter had originally planned to make Max the youngest child to visit every state, but COVID-19 forced them to change their plans. Carter, who runs Bucket List Publications, loves to travel and had planned to drive to every state with Max according to a WFAA article. They say,

““The goal was originally to take him to all the states in the U.S. and make him the youngest child to visit every state,” said Max’s mom, Lesley Carter.

Carter loves to travel.

For the past 10 years, she’s shared her adventures on a website she calls Bucket List Publications.

By visiting every state as a baby, Smith would’ve set a world record.

“We were going to drive to all the states and visit them before he was three months old,” Carter said. “But then COVID happened.””

Lesley Carter plans to take Max on a summer train trek through Europe, despite him not remembering, as she loves to travel.
