The luxury bus service from Dallas has added more of its services to accommodate its guests and customers traveling back and forth to Dallas according to a Culture Map article from February 8 which reports,
“According to a February 7 release, the luxury bus operator has introduced 24 new departures per week to its two most popular routes, Dallas-Austin and Dallas-Houston (both ways). In addition, Vonlane is lowering fares to $89 on select departures for a limited time.
The newly added departures are:
- Dallas-Austin: 8 am and 8 pm on Monday, Thursday, and Friday
- Austin-Dallas: 8 am and 8 pm on Monday, Thursday, and Friday
- Dallas-Houston: 7 am and 8:30 pm on Monday, Thursday, and Friday
- Houston-Dallas: 7 am and 8:30 pm on Monday, Thursday, and Friday
For the first time, Vonlane offers service every two hours between Dallas and Austin, beginning am 6 am, both ways. There now are eight daily trips between Dallas and Houston on these days, beginning at 6 am.
A more limited schedule operates in all cities on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.”
The lowering of price mentioned earlier will apply to evening departure times since Volane has recounted from last year that their services are taking high demands according to a Dallas Morning News article from February 8. They say,
“The company is also lowering fares for certain evening departure times. A one-way departure ticket at 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. will cost $89, discounted from the typical $109.
Vonlane saw demand for its bus service increase over summer 2021 as more Texans opted to travel, but a new surge in cases of the COVID-19 omicron variant over the winter put a damper on those gains, CEO Alex Danza said Tuesday. Last year, the company also revived its route between Dallas and Oklahoma City, which was shut down temporarily due to reduced demand over the pandemic.
“My hope is we make it up over the next 11 months, and I am happy to say we are seeing the impact of omicron wane,” Danza said, adding that the company this week recorded its biggest booking day of the year.
Volane Bus Services, which is known for its luxurious amenities inside its buses, operates in different cities across Texas including Houston, San Antonio, Oklahoma, Austin, Fort Worth and Dallas.
