Dallas Downtown’s Renaissance Hotel Saint Elm will have a new restaurant resident called Toussaint Brasseries, inspired with French cuisine, aesthetics and atmosphere according to a CultureMap Dallas article from December 13. In it they say,
“A new restaurant and bar named for a famous New Orleans writer and performer is opening in downtown Dallas: Called Toussaint Brasserie, it’s a French-inspired restaurant and bar opening at the soon-to-open Renaissance Hotel Saint Elm Dallas Downtown at 1907 Elm St.
This is the Cambria Dallas hotel, located in the historic Tower Petroleum Building, which is undergoing renovations and will reopen as the Renaissance Hotel Saint Elm coinciding with the opening of the restaurant. It’s owned by Dallas resident and entrepreneur John Kirtland and will be managed by Azul Hospitality Group.
“It’ll offer Dallas, and visitors alike, a spirited downtown destination for French comfort food made with high quality ingredients, a lively soundtrack, and well-crafted cocktails in a comfortable setting,” Kirtland says.”
John Kirtland indeed wasn’t kidding as the Dallas Eater went over for the new restaurant and reported the delightful French experience and ambiance according to a Dallas Eater article from December 14 which reports,
“Expect the menu to revolve around French classics, infused with Asian flavors and a bit of New Orleans style as well. That means lobster thermidor will be accompanied by coconut red curry, and Big Easy-inspired cocktails like the Nola-Groni with Euphrosine #9 Gin, Peychaud’s Apertivo, and Plymouth Sloe Gin.
Classics like steak tartare will be served with carrot coulis, shallots, egg yolk, pea tendrils, and toast points, and other menu options will include galette de crab, seafood platters, and quiche, with Basque cheesecake for dessert.”
The said French-inspired restaurant is set to open in the early quarter of 2022.
