The accident occurred when a man from Irving driving a Ford pickup truck ran a red light at an intersection and crashed into two other cars. The man, who was in the U.S. illegally and was drunk at the time of the accident, attempted to run from the scene. Two people in the other cars involved were killed, and an eight year old girl was critically injured.

Just last week, another drunk driver in Dallas who killed one person and critically injured another person was sentenced to 15 years in prison. This drunk driver may receive a longer sentence because two were killed and others were seriously injured.
