Jollibee, a famous fast-food chain in the Philippines which is said to be on par with Mcdonald’s, is coming to Dallas to serve their famous Chickenjoy and more according to a Dallas Morning News article from January 26 which reports,
“Filipino fast-food restaurant Jollibee is expected to open on Dallas’ Greenville Avenue, near University Boulevard, in late 2022.
Jollibee’s entry into Dallas is significant because it means that this powerful Asian company is expanding into one of Texas’s biggest cities.
Many customers at Jollibee are there to order Chickenjoy, which are pieces of fried chicken served in buckets or with sides like steamed rice, fries, or mashed potatoes. Another popular order is the Jolly Spaghetti, a plate of noodles and sauce topped with hot dogs and cheese.
The ultimate order — which would hit on all of Jollibee’s buzziest menu items — would be the Chickenjoy Bucket Treat B: six pieces of fried chicken, a family-sized portion of Jolly Spaghetti, and three peach-mango pies for dessert. Regulars seem to love the pies.”
When the Jollibee finally opened in Dallas, a lot of people took some time and went to order the Filipino fast-food chain’s menu and many of them weren’t disappointed. In a Facebook post, many shared their delight and experience. One said,
“I actually liked it I’ll be the first to say it. The pie was delicious and chicken was pretty good compared to other drive thru spots…”
One man even rated it higher than other fast-food chains,
“Better than kfc and Popeyes”
Another recounted the experience and suggested the signature dessert of Jollibee,
“I enjoyed their food and it’s really good! Mango Pies!”
Last but not the least, one shared her good experience of the fast-food chain while in the Philippines,
“Love jollibee a must stop for me when I’m in the Philippines ”
Although there are also some people who are not happy with the hype and the featured menu of Jollibee, it is worth mentioning that the now deceased Anthony Bourdain once praised Jollibee’s food when he tried the same in Los Angeles.
