Two Dallas Lucky’s restaurants closed this year, but the original on Gaston Avenue will continue operating, confirmed founder Lou Olerio, according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,
“Two Lucky’s restaurants selling Nashville-style hot chicken have closed this year in Dallas, but the original restaurant on Gaston Avenue is expected to remain in operation, confirms founder Lou Olerio via email.
Lucky’s is a spicy fried chicken sandwich and chicken tenders shop that opened first in Old East Dallas in fall 2020, when the Nashville hot chicken trend was heating up in Dallas.
Lucky’s on Lemmon Avenue in Dallas, in a former Einstein’s Bros. Bagel shop, was the most recent closure. It lasted for about four months, after opening in February 2023. At that time, operator Vandelay Hospitality said four Lucky’s would open in 2023. The operator wouldn’t comment on the future of the brand when asked last week”
