The Fort Worth Zoo celebrated the grand opening of its “Predators of Asia and Africa” habitat, showcasing various species, according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,
“The Fort Worth Zoo debuted its “Predators of Asia and Africa” habitat Thursday, marking the completion of three out of four phases in a multimillion dollar reimagining.
Amid the grand opening’s sweltering heat and scattered showers, animals took reprieve alongside a new waterfall and shaded grottos. The predators complex features species such as the Sumatran tiger, African lions, African painted dogs, cheetahs and striped hyenas. Plus, for the first time in the zoo’s 114-year history, clouded leopards and African leopards have also joined the pack.”
Ramona Bass, chair of the Fort Worth Zoological Association Board of Directors, expressed her excitement as the zoo’s “Predators of Asia & Africa” exhibit was unveiled, considering it as another cherished family member, according to a Fort Worth Business Press article. They say.
“Ramona Bass welcomed the newest member of her family Thursday when the Fort Worth Zoo unveiled its newest exhibit, “Predators of Asia & Africa.”
“My children call it (the zoo) the sibling. It’s like a fourth child,” said Bass, chair of the Fort Worth Zoological Association Board of Directors and the driving force behind the zoo’s growth and development since the mid-1980s.”
Ramona Bass, the chair of the Fort Worth Zoological Association’s board of directors, expressed her hope for the zoo’s growth, education, and conservation efforts with the new exhibit.
