The Dallas Zoo’s Dallas Zoo Lights tradition is pushing through this year, but as a safe, socially distant, drive-through spectacle. CBS DFW published an article online on October 26th about this holiday season event. In it, they state:
“On select nights, between November 20 and January 3, guests can drive through the zoo ‘winter wonderland’. This year’s display will feature more than one million sparkling lights and lighted displays. The more than one-mile-long driving path will take guests on a winding route through areas of the zoo that haven’t been open to the public for years, and then through ZooNorth and back out the front entrance.”
As for snacks, sweets, hot cocoa, and other holiday treats, they are available for pre-order according to this NBC DFW article published on October 26th. In it, they state:
“Tickets for Dallas Zoo Lights go on pre-sale for Dallas Zoo members on Monday, Nov. 2, and all remaining tickets go on sale Thursday, Nov. 5. Dallas Zoo members will receive a $15 discount on their admission ticket, making the cost of a Dallas Zoo Lights ticket $50 per car for members. General Dallas Zoo Lights event tickets at $65 per car.”
Even if you can’t walk through the streets and buy from vendors at this event, you can still enjoy this light show from the safety of your car and pre-order snacks to share with friends and family from within your vehicle!
