Aero, a shared charter jet service, has started operating from Dallas Love Field with a 16-seat Embraer EJR-135 jet, according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,
“California shared charter jet service Aero is officially operating at Dallas Love Field.
Aero has a custom-designed, 16-seat, sleek, black Embraer EJR-135 jet at its Dallas hub at Love Field at 8321 Lemmon Ave. The first flight out of Dallas took off April 21 to Los Cabos, and filled 12 seats. On May 25, Aero will launch services to Aspen.
Sachin Doshi, Aero’s vice president of commercial, said the carrier has learned a lot over the last few years and is “building a new category between private and commercial.” Doshi will oversee Aero’s operations in Dallas.”
Aero, an airline offering a “shared charter model,” will launch flights from Love Field to Los Cabos, Mexico, and Aspen. Introductory one-way rates start at $1,000. according to a Dallas Innovates article. They say,
“Starting April 21, Aero will launch its Love Field service with flights to Los Cabos, Mexico, at an introductory one-way rate of $1,000. Beginning May 18, flights to Aspen will begin at the same introductory rate.
Aero also operates its “shared charter model” out of private terminals in San Francisco and Los Angeles. The jet service also flies into Sun Valley, Idaho, from those terminals.
“We’re excited to offer our guests more options to fly with Aero,” CEO Uma Subramanian said in a statement. “We will continue to provide our guests with an unparalleled way to travel and we look forward to sharing the Aero experience with Texans.””
Aero’s recent expansion follows a successful capital raise of $65 million, with investments from AlbaCore Capital Group, Expa, Keyframe Capital, and Capital One Ventures. All U.S. flights are operated by Aero’s subsidiary, USAC.
