Dallas’ Henderson Avenue bar, The Whippersnapper, is transforming into BAR-bie, a lively real-life replica of the iconic DreamHouse for photos and fun, according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,
“Of all the Barbie-themed experiences around Dallas — the sparkly cocktails, the high-heeled brunches, the pink pasta gift box? — the award for most dedicated goes to The Whippersnapper, a bar on Henderson Avenue.
The Whip will soon make a pink-tastic debut as BAR-bie, a “real-life rendition of the iconic DreamHouse” fit for photos, according to a statement from the bar.”
BAR-bie, the transformed Whippersnapper bar, will feature staff in Barbie-inspired outfits and themed decor, including a Corvette bed and photobooth, according to a WFAA article which reports,
“The staff will also don themed looks from different eras of Barbie’s history.
“The BAR-bie pop-up will transport patrons to their own dream world. Everyone has their own take on the doll, and we can’t wait to see all the different ‘Barbs’ and Ken that walk through our doors.” said Phil Schanbaum, co-founder of This and That Hospitality. “With everyone talking about the movie, we whipped up our spin on the beloved theme.”
Inside, guests will find an array of decorations and on-theme Corvette bed, a digital photobooth, an accessory wall and more.”
The BAR-bie pop-up, open to ages 21 and above, offers free entry, with booth reservations available. Operating Wed-Sat, 6 pm2 am, it also donates collected Barbie items to charity.
