October 17, 2008 - Dallas, Texas - Alberto Deleon is wanted for murder by Dallas police. A warrant for his arrest was issued because Dallas police state that Mr. Deleon fatally shot Ray Villasenor after they were involved in a car accident in the 5700 block of Ash Lane which is near Sotuh Beacon Street. September 28, 2008 - Nolanville, Texas -
Nolanville firefighters injured when a car struck their fire engine while they tended to a fatal motorcycle accident. The motorcycle collision occured on U.S. Highway 190 near Nolanville Hill.
The driver of the motorcycle was a Fort Hood soldier. He was flung about 20 feet in front of his motorcycle in the right-hand lane. The soldier, whose identity was not known, was transported by ambulance to Scott & White, where he died.
Texas law requires drivers to change lanes or decrease their speed 20 mph below the posted speed limit when passing police officers, firefighters and other emergency personnel.
September 24, 2008 - San Marcos, Texas - 5 people including a Hay County DPS trooper were seriously injured along southbound IH-35 when a 2005 Dodge Ram pick up truck slammed into the a police cruiser parked during a routine traffic stop. The driver of the pick up truck was charged with intoxication assualt and felony failure to stop and render aid. All injured parties are expected to make a full recovery.
